About this policy
This policy describes how MYHA Meals, provided by Myha Apps LLC, handles information when you plan meals, manage groceries, share recipes, or use Premium. Contact contact@myhasoftware.com with privacy questions.
Accounts and information on your device
MYHA Meals uses Supabase to authenticate your account and provide online features. Account information includes your email address, account identifier, and profile information you provide, such as your display name and username. Authentication sessions are stored in the device Keychain. Your personal recipe collection, meal plans, grocery lists, and app preferences are stored on your device. Device backups may also contain app data, depending on your Apple settings.
Sharing and community features
Recipes and meal plans you publish are sent to our Supabase backend. Public recipes, shared plans, profile information, and comments may be visible to other users. Likes, follows, and related notifications are processed on the backend to provide community features. Other users may save copies of content you share; removing the original does not remove copies they already saved. Before you first share, the app asks you to agree to community rules and automated moderation. Public profile text, recipes, photos, meal plans, and comments are sent to OpenAI for safety checks before publication. Rejected content is not published. Reports, blocking relationships, and publishing-attempt counts are stored with account identifiers in Supabase for safety and abuse prevention. Myha Apps LLC reviews reports and may remove content or restrict abusive accounts. Contact contact@myhasoftware.com for safety concerns or appeals.
AI recipe imports
When you choose to scan or import a recipe image, that image is sent through our Supabase backend to OpenAI to extract a recipe draft. When you import a public recipe URL, our backend fetches the page and sends its recipe text to OpenAI. Your account identifier, import counts, and time zone are used on our backend to enforce import allowances. Only submit images and pages you want processed, and avoid including sensitive personal information. The app requests that OpenAI not store the response, but this does not mean that all provider processing or security logs are immediately deleted. Provider retention and processing are governed by the applicable service terms. Review AI-generated drafts for accuracy before saving.
AI recipe creation
When you choose Continue with AI in recipe creation, your messages and current recipe fields, including ingredients, quantities, servings, and instructions, are sent through our Supabase backend to OpenAI to create or revise a draft. Conversations, recipe drafts, and usage records are stored on our backend to support refinements and prevent duplicate charges. Voice uses the same Apple speech recognition and spoken replies described below. You can mute replies or switch to typing. AI does not save or publish your recipe; review the draft, transfer it into the form, and choose Save when ready. Recipe drafts share the AI meal-planning allowance; refinements in the same session do not consume another draft credit.
AI meal planning and voice
When you choose Continue with AI, your messages and selected recipe names, ingredients, preparation times, and planning preferences are sent through our Supabase backend to OpenAI to suggest recipes and draft a meal plan. Planning conversations, drafts, usage counts, and technical token-usage records are stored on our backend to support follow-up changes, prevent duplicate charges, and enforce allowances. A copy of your current conversation and draft is stored on your device. Voice planning requests microphone and speech-recognition permission. Apple speech recognition transcribes your speech, using on-device recognition when supported; otherwise audio may be processed by Apple. Transcripts are sent to the planning assistant, while our planning backend does not receive microphone recordings. Spoken replies use system speech synthesis. You can stop voice at any time and continue typing. The assistant saves suggested recipes only after you request it, and applies a meal plan only after you confirm. Avoid including sensitive personal information in conversations.
AI macro estimates
If you allow AI macro estimates, a recipe without macros has its name, number of servings, and ingredients (names, quantities, and units) sent through our Supabase backend to OpenAI to estimate calories, protein, carbohydrates, and fat per serving. Your account details are not included. The app asks before the first estimate, and you can turn this off anytime in Settings > Nutrition > AI Macro Estimates. You can always enter macros yourself.
Photos and external websites
Camera and photo selection are used when you choose to scan a recipe or attach a photo. The app does not need access to your entire photo library to use the system photo picker. Loading recipe photos or visiting external links can send network information, such as your IP address, to the hosting website. Those websites have their own privacy practices.
Subscriptions
Apple processes purchases and payment details. Our backend uses your app account identifier, transaction identifiers, subscription status, and usage counts to verify Premium access and enforce limits. MYHA Meals does not receive your full payment card details. You can manage or cancel your subscription in App Store account settings.
Service providers and logs
We use Supabase for authentication, online data, and backend functions; OpenAI for recipe imports, recipe/meal-plan assistance, macro estimates, and community moderation; and Apple for purchases and platform services. Network requests and service logs may include technical information used to operate, troubleshoot, and secure these services. MYHA Meals does not include third-party advertising or analytics SDKs. Data sent to service providers may be processed outside your country.
Retention and your choices
You can initiate permanent account deletion in Settings > Delete Account. Once the server confirms deletion, your authentication account, profile, published recipes/plans, comments, follows, likes, notifications, AI conversations, subscription entitlement and usage records, reports and blocking relationships are removed from the active database. The app also removes recipes, meal plans, shopping lists and cached drafts from this device. Apple sign-in accounts require confirmation so Apple authorization can be revoked. Account deletion does not cancel Apple subscriptions; manage or cancel them with Apple before deleting. Copies other users saved independently, Apple transaction records, device backups, and provider security logs/backups may remain under their respective retention practices. Signing out does not delete data. Contact contact@myhasoftware.com for access or correction requests.
Policy changes and contact
We may update this policy as MYHA Meals changes. The current policy is available from Settings and the Premium paywall. For privacy questions or requests, email contact@myhasoftware.com.

This public website is hosted on GitHub Pages. GitHub logs visitors’ IP addresses for security purposes. See GitHub’s privacy statement for information about its processing. We do not add analytics, advertising, tracking scripts, or contact forms to this site. Email links open your email app.
